
The Karen National Union (KNU) has reported that military airstrikes in Kyaukkyi and Moe townships of Bago Region have resulted in injuries to two civilians and destruction of homes. On March 1, the military council launched drone attacks on Inn Net village in KNU-controlled Kyaukkyi township, firing three 120mm bombs. The attack injured 73-year-old U Thaung Myint and 7-year-old Maung Thet Tun San. Additionally, U Sein Myint’s house was damaged, and three cattle were killed in the attack.
On March 3 at 8:20 PM, the military conducted an airstrike on Haw Kho Waw (Nga Htwei Soke) village in Moe township, dropping two 500-pound bombs. The bombs exploded near Saw Htun Naing’s house, destroying one motorcycle, two drums of gasoline, and three drums of diesel fuel. The attack also resulted in the destruction of 20 bags of salt and one tractor, causing significant property damage to local residents.
On March 6 at 8:50 AM, the military council launched drone attacks on Wa Bo village in Sittwe township, Rakhine State. The attacks were carried out by military forces stationed at Gan Gaw Island, resulting in damage to residential buildings. Similarly, in Mandalay Region, the military conducted an airstrike using powered paragliders on Kyauk Tine village in Myingyan township around 2 AM on March 5. Local residents reported that two bombs were dropped during the attack, though the extent of damage and potential casualties could not be immediately confirmed.
