According to TGYR forces’ information officer Ko Ye Yint, two military council soldiers were killed in an attack on military council troops who were traveling in two vehicles from Ngazun town in Mandalay Region. Around 11 AM on March 1, they received information that approximately 80 military council soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee members were traveling in two vehicles from Ngazun town and had reached Kyaung Gyi Kone Pagoda. Based on this intelligence, TGYR forces (TGYR-Drone Team) and allied forces launched drone strikes and ground attacks using 40mm weapons, resulting in an engagement.
During the attack, two military council soldiers were killed and three others were wounded and are receiving emergency medical treatment. One of the two vehicles was also destroyed in the attack. TGYR forces’ information officer Ko Ye Yint warned local residents to be especially vigilant against potential airstrikes, as the military council typically responds to their casualties by conducting airstrikes against civilians. He urged particular caution regarding air threats in Ngazun Township, where the military frequently carries out airstrikes targeting civilians.
The operation was jointly conducted by TGYR-Youth Guerrilla Counter Revolution-NZ (TGYR-Drone Team), Ar Man Thit Guerrilla Force, Ngazun Township People’s Defense Force, Mandalay District Battalion 5, and Fight For Freedom (FFF.NK). Officials stated that such joint operations aim to effectively counter military council troop movements in the region.
