
Military council leader Min Aung Hlaing, who is currently under an international arrest warrant issued by an Argentine court, is reportedly planning another visit to Russia. During his previous meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Min Aung Hlaing had notably paid excessive respects to Putin, addressing him as a great world leader while performing traditional Myanmar gestures of reverence. Sources indicate he is now preparing for a second visit to meet with Putin.
In Magway Region, joint forces of the Arakan Army (AA) and People’s Defense Force (PDF) continue their offensive operations, capturing military positions one after another. While advancing toward Strategic Command Post 6, revolutionary forces also engaged military council troops near Strategic Command Post 21 in Saling Township. According to a spokesperson from the Saling Township People’s Defense Force, the military council forces suffered significant casualties and were forced to retreat from their positions during these encounters.
In Kayah State, revolutionary forces launched an attack on the military council’s Infantry Battalion 422 based in Moebye town. The assault resulted in the death of 23 military council personnel, including a column commander. During the intense fighting, four resistance fighters also sacrificed their lives in the operation. This engagement represents a significant victory for the revolutionary forces in the region, according to battle reports from the area. The continued success of such operations demonstrates the growing strength and coordination of resistance forces in their campaign against the military council’s positions across different regions of the country.
