
A representative from the Salin Township People’s Defense Force has confirmed that numerous homes were destroyed after the terrorist military burned down Pyaung Kyin South and North villages in Salin Township, Magway Region. The military columns conducted systematic burning operations in these villages over three consecutive days from February 17 to 19, deliberately targeting civilian homes and properties.
Due to the military’s brutal destruction, local residents have been forced to flee their homes to safer locations and remain displaced to this day. The internally displaced people are in urgent need of food supplies. While the Salin Township People’s Defense Force has been providing emergency assistance to the displaced civilians, the official stated that food supplies continue to be critically needed for the affected populations.
Additionally, in Tawtha village of Pale Township in Sagaing Region, the terrorist military conducted an aerial bombing attack using a helicopter. The attack occurred around 11:30 PM on February 26, resulting in one woman being injured by bomb shrapnel and causing damage to several houses in the village. Local sources confirmed that the female victim sustained shrapnel wounds to her thigh during the attack. The military’s continued use of airstrikes against civilian areas has caused significant destruction and displacement of local populations, creating an ongoing humanitarian crisis in these regions.
