KARENNI STATE – KA military commander Colonel Bone Naing said that the terrorist soldiers fled the camp and some weapons and ammunition were seized during the attack on Point 5416 (operational base camp) in Karenni State on the Thai-Myanmar border.
Starting from February 11th, Point 5416 (Operational Base Camp – Taung Gatone Camp), which is the last remaining camp of the Terrorist War Council on the border of Thailand – Karenni – Shan border area, was attacked by the Karenni State Army with drones and snipers. There were casualties on the junta council’s soldiers and they fled from the camp on the morning of February 13th and the camp was completely captured.
“It is near the 3 regions, the Thai, the Karenni and the Shan border area. Starting from the 11th, we work with drones. shoot with heavy weapons, shoot with snipers. We shot until the 12th. On the 13th, they retreated towards Mongyawng. Some are injured. I think there are also casualties. We seized some guns and some ammunition. Our comrades were not harmed,” said KA military chief Colonel Bone Naing.
Currently, the Karenni Army has cleared the area and occupied the Taung Gatone camp where the military council soldiers retreated and fled. It is reported that all junta council camps on the eastern side of the Karenni’s Thanlwin River have been captured.
That terrorist army camp is a camp hill located on the top of a mountain with only around 40 junta council soldiers. This base camp is the Karenni State Army (KA) camp more than 30 years ago. It was captured and occupied by terrorist army.
