
CENTRAL MYANMAR- It is reported that the NUG Ministry of Human Rights conducted a 5-day training course on Women and Children Protection for those in charge of human rights affairs in Sagaing and Magway Divisions.
The five-day training was from February 3 to 7 and the trainers were Union Minister Mr. Aung Myo Min and responsible departmental officials.
The training was attended by human rights officials as well as the officials from the public administration system. A total of twenty participants, 11 men, and 9 women reportedly attended.
The training includes basic information on human rights, facts about the Convention of Elimination All Forms of Discrimination against Women and Children, about CACC released by the National Unity Government as guidance for People Defense Forces regarding the protection/care of children during armed conflicts and also coaching skills and other need-to-know information to disseminate knowledge on the ground were taught during the training course.
The ministry announced that discussions were held on the possibility of conducting secondary training to redistribute knowledge on the ground.
