
KAREN STATE – An official from Tawthikho, Battalion 5 of KNLA (Karen National Liberation Army) Brigade 2, reported that the attack on a junta convoy at Tawpyargyi Fork on the Thandaung-Taungoo Road in Thandaunggyi Township killed six junta soldiers and crashed a military vehicle.
The convoy of the terrorist junta council consisting of ten vehicles that was coming down to Taungoo from the Bayintnaung Base in Thandaunggyi Township was attacked at Tawpyargyi Fork around 3:30 p.m. on February 8.
One of the cars crashed during the attack, killing six junta soldiers on board and six more were also injured.
“We didn’t manage to confiscate the items. The other cars came and picked them up. There was also an exchange of fire,” said the official from Tawthikho, Battalion 5 of KNLA Brigade 2.
The attack was carried out by soldiers from Company 3 of KNLA Battalion 5 under Brigade 2.
