“On February 6th, a captain in the 23 defense equipment manufacturing factory was shot in the mouth and died. I only know that he shot with a gun, It is not yet known exactly why it was shot. It turns out that he is a captain. The family has been out of the compound for a long time. He was depressed because he couldn’t resign and killed himself. Today, the military vehicles are also going back and forth to the countryside,” the army source said.
Starting from late August of 2024, No. 23 defense equipment manufacturing plant from Kyaaw where all military family members were started to evacuate. On September 4th, all military family members, including pregnant ladies, child’s mother and children were transported by helicopter to the Northwest Regional Command. Through this, they were forced to return to their respective places of origin. After the transfer, the junta council ordered the officers and soldiers of the 23rd factory to fight to the death.
