SHAN STATE (SOUTH) – According to some of the revolutionary comrades on the battlefield, the battles are intense in Money town which is located on the border of Shan and Karenni states and the fascist junta council has intensified the offensive attacks to recapture the town.
Starting from January 19, the junta council has been trying to pierce the defenses of the Karenni alliance forces by using around 300 ground forces as well as airstrikes and heavy weapon reinforcements.
A revolutionary comrade on the battlefield mentioned that “some of our comrades were injured during the battle on January 22. One revolutionary comrade sacrificed his life for the country and around five junta council troops were also killed.”
He continued that the coup council has currently conducted offensive attacks towards the places in the western part of Mobye town where the Karenni coalition have controlled.
MOBYE PDF Rescue Team issued a statement on January 22 saying that as the battles between the revolutionary alliance forces and the fascist junta council troops, has intensified at a place on the Shan-Karenni border, the rescue team urgently needed medication and fuel.
A news source in Karenni mentioned that “It was known that the coup council ordered its troops to recapture Mobye town by the end of January. The junta council conducted aerial bombardments using 500-lb bombs. The junta council’s basements in Pekon and Loikaw towns also provided heavy weapon reinforcements.”
Some of the junta council lobbyists are spreading the propagandas saying that as the revolutionary alliance forces blocked the Mobye based Infantry battalion 422 and intercepted the junta council reinforcements, both sides suffered a lot of casualties.
But the Karenni coalition hasn’t issued any statements regarding the battles in Mobye town.
The Karenni coalition managed to capture and control during the 1111 operation in November 2023. As the junta council has been trying to recapture Mobye town starting from November, 2024, the revolutionary alliance forces are defending the offensive attacks.
