SAGAING DIVISION – Locals reported that the terrorist junta army fired artillery shells in Budalin Township, injuring three civilians, including a child.
On January 20, at 6:40 p.m., the terrorist junta army fired artillery shells on Ywar Shey Village in Budalin Township, seriously injuring three civilians, including a child, said locals.
“The North Western Command (NWC) based in Monywa carried out the artillery attacks. A 6-year-old child was hit in the hand by shrapnel. A 40-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man were also injured, a total of three people. Two cows were also killed. We cannot tolerate the army that fired artillery at our village like this,” said a local resident.
Ywar Shey Village that was targeted by junta artillery attacks, is located on the southern part of Budalin Township, at the border of Monywa Township, and is close to North Western Command.
The atrocious junta army invaded Ywar Shey Village in Budalin Township, on 10 November 2022, and brutally killed Mr. Shan, the organizer of the National League for Democracy and 14-year-old Aung Myo Thant.
