MAGWAY DIVISION – The terrorist junta column delivering rations to the Pyu Saw Htee base in Kanni Village, Myaing Township, was repeatedly intercepted and attacked over six days, and 10 junta forces were killed in those attacks, reported Mr. Victor from Victor Guerrilla Force.
From January 13 till the 18th, revolutionary forces chased and attacked the junta column. The battles on January 17 and 18, in particular, were intense and the junta council reportedly used air support using Mi-35 helicopters and jet fighters for two straight days as their column was blocked off and attacked by revolutionary forces.
It is said that ten junta forces were killed and 50 were injured during those battles, with 30 of the injured reportedly in serious conditions. Meanwhile, seven members of the revolutionary forces were also said to have received minor wounds.
“The dog column (junta column) delivering rations to Kanni (Village) was chased and attacked throughout thew way. During the battle on the 17th and 18th, the dog column was blocked off and attacked so the fighting was intense. Junta planes also came and bomb (the area) during those two days. According to sources within the junta council, ten junta dogs were killed and 40 were injured. It is also said that 30 of the injured were in serious conditions,” said Mr. Victor.
The attacks were carried out by Battalion 2, Battalion 6, Battalion 7, Battalion 14, Battalion 15, Battalion 17, PDO Battalion 1, Daungnat MRG, Nagarni, Sin Yine, Lin Mway, 8+, Yinmabin Battalion 28, Anyarmyay Guerrilla Force, Lighting Guerrilla Force, Victor Guerrilla Force and Myaing PDO.
Moreover, it is reported that the attacked junta column, suffering heavy losses, torched 20 houses in Kyaungkone Village and four houses in Thanhara Village around 6 p.m. on January 18.
