CHIN STATE – It was reported that the brutal junta army intentionally carried out aerial bombings, artillery and arson attacks on pagodas, schools and residential wards in Mindat, destroying around 200 residential houses, according to Mr. Yaw Man, information officer of Mindat People’s Administration Body (PAB).
During the Mindat Town capturing fights, around 200 residential houses were destroyed by the arson attacks, artillery shelling and aerial bombardments of the terrorist junta forces.
“There are about 200 residential houses that were burned down and damaged by heavy weapons and bombs,” said Mr. Yaw Man.
At present, the Revolutionary Forces were clearing unexploded artillery shells fired by the terrorist junta army and unexploded bombs dropped by the military aircraft in Mindat Town. A 500-pound bomb has been planted in the square of the Sasanna Alin Yaung Pagoda in Mindat without exploding.
The Revolutionary Forces carried out Mindat Town capturing battle as “Operation CB”, on November 9, and completely attacked and acquired Mindat-based Infantry Battalion – 274, on December 21, completely controlled Mindat Town.
