The Arakan Army stated that the military deliberately targets schools, hospitals, markets, religious buildings, roads and bridges, IDP camps and densely populated areas. These inhumane attacks are being carried out daily not only in Arakan region but across the country. The AA announced it will report the military’s war crimes and crimes against humanity to international organizations and will continue taking necessary actions in response. The military’s targeting of civilians and systematic attacks on non-military targets constitute clear violations of international humanitarian law according to the AA’s statement.
