
A military convoy consisting of three vehicles departing from Kyaukpyut village in Myingyan Township, Mandalay Region, was ambushed by resistance forces, resulting in the death of eight military personnel, according to a spokesperson from the People’s Star Force. The incident occurred around 10:30 AM on September 6, with resistance forces successfully conducting the operation without suffering any casualties.
The engagement took place when three military vehicles suddenly emerging from Kyaukpyut village in northern Myingyan Township directly encountered resistance forces who were positioned in the area. During the clash, military personnel attempted to escape by jumping from their vehicles but were caught in the resistance forces’ fire, resulting in eight fatalities and numerous injuries among the military troops. The remaining military vehicles in the convoy retreated from the area, as confirmed by the People’s Star Force spokesperson. The successful operation was carried out through coordination between the People’s Star Force and the local resistance group known as Myingyan Danger Dynamite.
The resistance forces in this region maintain close surveillance of military council troop movements and work to prevent military raids on villages and protect civilians from violence. This operation represents one of several coordinated efforts by resistance forces to counter military presence in the area.
