
A spokesperson from the Warazein Force has confirmed that eight members of the military council forces were killed during an ambush operation on the eastern bank of the Sittaung River in Taungoo District, Bago Region. The clash occurred on April 6th when revolutionary forces intercepted military council troops attempting to advance their positions along the eastern side of the river. The confrontation was part of the resistance forces’ defensive operations against the military council’s offensive movements in the area.
During the engagement, which lasted approximately 45 minutes, eight military council troops were killed and five others sustained severe injuries. While the revolutionary forces lost one 5-kilogram drone in the battle, they were able to successfully withdraw from the area without suffering any casualties. According to the Warazein Force official, the injured military council soldiers were evacuated to the western bank of the Sittaung River following the clash.
