
A representative from the Pakokku Special Task Force confirmed that 8 military council soldiers from Division 101 and Infantry Battalion 254 were killed during clashes in Myaing Township, Magway Region. The battle occurred when revolutionary forces engaged with military council troops who had entered the area in a column formation. The military council deployed approximately 400 troops during their operation on May 1.
During the battle, the military council forces conducted airstrikes using fighter jets, paramotors, and Y-12 aircraft. Revolutionary forces managed to seize military equipment from the defeated soldiers, including one MA-1 rifle, over 500 rounds of ammunition, various explosives, and recovered 8 bodies of military council soldiers. Due to significant casualties, the military council forces retreated to Division 101 headquarters in Pakokku on May 7.
The operation involved coordinated efforts from multiple revolutionary forces, including Pakokku Township PDF Battalion (1), Pauk-Myaing-Kamma PDF, Myaing PDF, Pauk PDF, Kamma Joint Forces, Pakokku District Units (2/6/7/14/15/17), All Burma Students’ Democratic Front (ABSDF), 8888 Joint Forces, Central Plains Joint Forces, PLC Joint Forces, Garuda People’s Defense Force, PPDF, Bo Brother Joint Forces, Wolf Guerrilla Force, Earthquake Force, and local defense forces. This battle demonstrated the unity and coordination between local civilians and revolutionary forces in their resistance against the military council.
