
On July 7, 2023, the Pakokku People’s Revolution Committee (PPRC), along with local students and civilians, held a protest in Pakokku Township, Magway Region, to commemorate the 63rd anniversary of Seven July. During the protest, students and local residents demanded opposition to the military dictatorship, democracy, freedom of education, and basic human rights.
Protesters carried democracy-related signboards, flags, and posters while chanting anti-dictatorship slogans. Leaders from the Pakokku People’s Revolution Committee explained the historical significance of Seven July and discussed the current political situation in Myanmar. The protest highlighted the ongoing struggle for democracy and civilian rights in the country.
The demonstration was conducted peacefully and received support from local residents. The people of Pakokku region have been actively participating in anti-military dictatorship movements and continue to fight unitedly for democracy.
