SAGAING DIVISION – An official of the Farmers Revolution Force said that six terrorist soldiers were killed by them when they used public cars by force to collect extortion money and attacked the soldier in Chaung Oo township, Sagaing Division.
It is reported that the revolutionary forces shot and attacked 10 of the terrorist junta council soldiers who were using public cars by force inside Moe Kaung monastery in Chaung Oo. They came out on December 25th, at around 7:00 a.m., to forcefully collect scots from travellers near the Than Lwin Myanmar gas station between Chaung Oo and Ngashan village.
The skirmish lasted about 35 minutes, and 6 soldiers of the terrorist military council were killed and 2 were seriously injured. Among the dead were 1 policeman from Tawpu Pyu Saw Htee village. The revolutionary forces tried to seize the weapons, but they were unable to pick them up because the rest of the remaining soldiers returned fire.
“No weapons were seized. We couldn’t pick up weapons because the 2 junta soldiers shot at us. We shot and attacked them at close range. I would like to appeal to the traveling public to drive away from junta forces as much as possible, and stay in a safe place if you hear gunshots or heavy weapon,” said an official from the Farmers Revolution Force.
The attack was carried out jointly by the 8th Battalion of Monywa District and the Myaung Township Public Defense and Security CDSOM Bo Satkyar Battalion. It is reported that the Revolutionary troops have to withdraw safely because the terrorist junta council soldiers from the office of the Pauk Inn Agriculture Field in Chaung U town opened fire with heavy weapons and arrival of the reinforcements from Khayay Phyu gate of Chaung Oo.
