From March 7 to 9, continuous drone strikes were carried out on military positions at Myittha Dam in Gangaw Township, resulting in the deaths of 6 personnel including one camp commander, one soldier, and 4 Pyu Saw Htee members, with many others sustaining severe injuries. Additionally, on March 16, two soldiers from the Myittha Dam position defected to revolutionary forces and were captured along with an MA-11 rifle and ammunition. The operations were jointly conducted by Myaing PDF, Gangaw Township Combined Forces, Gangaw Township PDF, and drone units from Pauk, Myaing, and Kamma regions, with no casualties reported among resistance forces.
The military responded on March 17 with retaliatory airstrikes using fighter jets, targeting villages near Myittha Dam. The successful drone operations demonstrate the growing capabilities of resistance forces in the region, while highlighting the ongoing conflict between military forces and local defense groups. The captured soldiers are being treated humanely according to PDF officials, who also noted that numerous bomb attacks have been carried out on military positions along the Myittha River where multiple outposts are stationed.
