
On May 22, joint Karenni revolutionary forces successfully attacked and captured a military council outpost near Hainipaut village in Bawlakhe Township, Karenni State. During the battle, military council troops suffered casualties and some weapons and ammunition were seized, while 6 revolutionary force members were killed, according to an official from the Pharsaung People’s Defense Force.
During the battle, military council troops retreated to the outskirts of Bawlakhe town, with their total force at the outposts estimated at over 200 personnel. Among the fallen revolutionary fighters were 23-year-old Deputy Squad Leader Mying Zaw and 23-year-old Section Commander Soe Nay Lin Oo (aka) Bo Hteit from the Pharsaung People’s Defense Force.
The military council has been conducting operations to gain territorial control within Karenni State, particularly attempting to enter through the Moebye region, according to statements from revolutionary forces. An official from the Pharsaung People’s Defense Force urged civilians to continue supporting the revolutionary forces and not lose faith in the revolution, stating that they would continue fighting alongside the people, addressing challenges together until victory is achieved.
