A battle between revolutionary forces and military council troops near Alule village and Thyeni village in Bilin Township, Mon State, resulted in the deaths of 6 military council soldiers, as confirmed by an official from the Nagagyi Battalion. The clash occurred at 11:30 AM on April 21 when revolutionary forces were preparing to attack a military council convoy traveling from Bago Region to Mon State along the Yangon-Mawlamyine highway. The revolutionary forces encountered an advance guard unit of the military council during their preparation.
The battle involved combined forces from the Nagagyi Battalion, Battalion 7801, and Battalion 7805 Division 4 on the revolutionary side, while the military council’s advance guard unit consisted of approximately 20 soldiers. Due to the sudden nature of the encounter, the revolutionary forces were unable to carry out their planned mine attack on the convoy. During the battle, one revolutionary fighter sustained a minor gunshot wound but was not in critical condition.
The engagement lasted until 11:49 AM, after which the revolutionary forces successfully withdrew from the area. Currently, the military council is conducting artillery strikes and airstrikes even on villages where no fighting has occurred, making it necessary for local residents to exercise extreme caution in their daily activities. Additionally, there are calls for civilians to support the revolutionary forces in whatever way they can to strengthen the resistance movement against the military council’s oppression.
