A military camp in Sone Village, Myingyan Township, Mandalay Region was attacked by People’s Defense Forces using heavy weapons and fixed-wing drones, resulting in the deaths of 5 soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee members, according to a responsible official from the TGYR-Guerrilla Force who participated in the operation. The attack, which took place on May 10, targeted the military council forces’ resting quarters, jammer installation sites, and guard posts using a combination of heavy artillery and drone strikes.
During the operation, the resistance forces lost one fixed-wing drone worth thousands of US dollars and suffered damage to one artillery piece. Both sides engaged in an exchange of artillery fire, with the military council forces firing approximately 10 rounds of 60mm artillery shells while the resistance forces responded with over 20 rounds of their own. The coordinated attack was carried out by multiple resistance groups including the TGYR-Guerrilla Force’s drone teams, Myingyan Northern Warriors Guerrilla Force, Ayeyarwady Prince Guerrilla Force, Golden Joe White People’s Defense Force, Aung San’s Blood Civilians Defense Force, Border Artillery Force, Revolutionary Air Force, Tiger Khin Sein Drone Force, Tarmarnthit Force, and Ayeyar Python Force.
The operation successfully concluded with all resistance fighters withdrawing safely without any casualties on their side. The attack demonstrated the growing capabilities of resistance forces in conducting coordinated operations using both conventional weapons and modern technology such as fixed-wing drones. The targeting of the military council’s communication infrastructure and strategic positions shows the resistance forces’ increasing tactical sophistication in their operations against military targets.
