
A military outpost stationed in Yonepinkan village, Sagaing Township, Sagaing Region, was successfully attacked by People’s Defense Forces, resulting in the death of 5 military council soldiers and the capture of military equipment, according to a representative from Phoenix (SGG) who confirmed the information to Yangon Modern News Agency. The attack took place on August 10 at approximately 5:30 AM, targeting a military outpost manned by about 40 military council troops. The revolutionary forces executed their planned assault on the position according to their strategic objectives.
During the engagement, besides the 5 confirmed casualties on the military council’s side, approximately 15 soldiers were reported wounded, while the remaining troops fled the scene. After the battle, revolutionary forces managed to seize various personal effects and military equipment belonging to the military council soldiers, though they were unable to capture any weapons or ammunition. Sources from the participating forces also confirmed that no military council soldiers were captured alive during the operation. The successful operation demonstrated the effectiveness of coordinated resistance efforts against military council positions in the region.
