
The Revolution Tokyo Myanmar group organized a Global Action – 8888 Umbrella Strike in front of the Myanmar Embassy in Tokyo, Japan, to commemorate the 37th anniversary of the 8888 Uprising as an anti-military dictatorship movement. This demonstration was aimed at raising international awareness about the Myanmar people’s struggle for democracy. Participants in the umbrella strike carried black umbrellas as they protested against the military dictatorship system.
