
The NMSP-AD/Ramonnya Mon Army has officially announced that 34 military council troops were killed in an intense battle near Say Ain Su village in Ye Phyu Township, Tanintharyi Region. The battle, which began around 10 AM on August 28, lasted for three hours until approximately 1 PM. During the engagement, 34 military council soldiers were killed and 10 others were wounded.
On the revolutionary forces’ side, one soldier from the Ramonnya Mon Army (RMA) was killed in action, while three members of allied forces sustained injuries. The operation was jointly conducted by the RMA’s Ye Phyu regional battalion and allied revolutionary forces. The NMSP-AD/Ramonnya Mon Army has warned that more intense fighting may occur in the Ye Phyu area as the military council continues its offensive operations in the region.
Prior to this battle, on August 22, another clash occurred in Ye Phyu Township when approximately 100 military council troops launched an offensive. The Ramonnya Mon Army (RMA) and allied forces engaged them in battle, resulting in at least 10 military council casualties. Revolutionary forces have advised local civilians to remain vigilant due to the possibility of escalating conflicts in the area.
