A spokesperson from the Black Leopard Army has reported that People’s Defense Forces (PDF) seized twenty-four motorcycles during a raid on a gambling operation in Pale Township, Sagaing Region. The operation took place on March 15 in the afternoon when Battalion 11 from Yinmabin District, acting on information from local residents, conducted a raid on a cockfighting gambling ring in a village.
During the raid, while the gamblers managed to escape, authorities seized thirty-two motorcycles, eight fighting cocks, and one mobile phone as evidence. The confiscated phone was returned to its owner, and the motorcycles were transferred to the Township People’s Security Office. Although thirty-two motorcycles were initially seized, eight were reclaimed by their owners during transportation, leaving twenty-four motorcycles that were successfully transferred to the authorities.
A representative from the Black Leopard Army explained that revolutionary forces have maintained control over military council outposts in and around Pale town, sacrificing many lives to ensure civilian safety. They warned that gambling operations could potentially benefit the military council’s interests. The official expressed concerns that activities such as cockfighting, card gambling, and gin rummy not only diminish interest in the revolution but also lead to security risks in villages and potential increases in drug trafficking and usage.
The public has been warned against gathering in large groups during gambling activities due to the risk of aerial strikes by the military council. While the Black Leopard Army has pledged to continue fighting until the revolution succeeds, they emphasized their commitment to opposing any activities that could harm the revolutionary cause. They have made it clear that they will take action against any operations that could potentially undermine or damage the ongoing revolution.
