
In battles at Kyin Mon Taw Pyu village camp and attacks on military columns in Chaung-U Township, Monywa District, Sagaing Region, at least 23 military council soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee members were killed while 4 People’s Defense Force (PDF) members died. The offensive to capture Kyin Mon Taw Pyu Saw Htee village began on February 15 at 11:23 AM. About an hour after the battle started, military council forces provided artillery support with 52 rounds of 120mm artillery fire from their bases at Chaung-U Town Administrative Office, Mokaung Monastery, Mya Palae, and Khin Mon.
Additionally, fighter jets from Meiktila Air Force Base conducted 5 airstrikes at 4:12 PM. At 6:17 PM, reinforcements of about 200 troops from the Northwestern Command headquarters in Monywa advanced, leading to a 15-minute engagement with PDF forces responsible for route interdiction. Despite heavy reinforcements, resistance forces managed to capture bunkers on the eastern and northern sides of Kyin Mon Taw Pyu Saw Htee village, as well as a school and monastery. However, when military reinforcements approached the village around 8 PM, PDF forces had to withdraw before completely securing the area.
On February 16 at 5:42 PM, resistance forces conducted a mine attack against a military column of about 70 troops that had entered Chaung-U town, followed by direct combat with route interdiction forces at 7:02 PM. After military casualties, the Mya Palae base provided support with 21 rounds of 120mm artillery fire, while the air force conducted one airstrike with fighter jets from Meiktila and two airstrikes using two paramotors from Northwestern Command. The battles involved multiple resistance groups including CHU PDF, ULF, and various allied forces, with medical support from Spring Revolution Clinic and aerial reconnaissance assistance from four sources.
