
A spokesperson from the Mon State Revolutionary Force (MSRF) has confirmed that 17 military council troops, including three officers, were killed in a battle near Kaut Hlaing village in Yebyu Township, Tanintharyi Region. The clash began around 4 PM on August 15 when revolutionary allied forces intercepted a military council column of approximately 150 troops that was advancing into the area.
The battle lasted until around 6 PM, resulting in 17 casualties on the military council side, including three officers, with at least seven others wounded. The revolutionary allied forces reported five of their members sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The spokesperson for MSRF revealed that intense fighting continues in the Yebyu area with heightened military tensions, and revolutionary forces are facing ammunition shortages as they continue their resistance operations.
The revolutionary allied forces involved in this operation included the Mon State Revolutionary Force (MSRF), Strategy 33 Dauna Special Operations Group, Dauna Column-2 (YGF), Dauna Column-3 (KBDF), Ye Bilu Battalion, Ramanya Mon Army (R.M.A), Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) Brigade 6 Battalion 27, and Star Light (Thakapaw) Battalion (KTLA). The region continues to see ongoing military operations by revolutionary forces who are actively resisting the military council’s offensive actions in the area.
