
The Doo Ra Ka Column has announced the successful capture of the Harlee Curve military camp located on Union Highway No. 8 between Ye and Dawei, near Maung Mae Shaung village in Tanintharyi Region’s Dawei Township. The battle, which began around 6 AM on April 26, resulted in the capture of 16 military council troops and the seizure of significant weapons and ammunition. During the engagement, the military council responded with heavy artillery fire and called for air support.
The operation was led by the Doo Ra Ka Column of the Dawei National Liberation Army (DNLA), with joint participation from the Yebyu People’s Defense Force, KNU Brigade 4 Battalion 12, Unit 5, U Au Column, Dawei Guerrilla Revolutionary Force, Tavoy People Liberation Force, Dawna Unit 7, Sky Ghost Drone Force, Federal Duwun Star Force, and Eastern Forest People’s Defense Forces. During the battle, a military council captain was killed, and the seized weapons included 9 MA-1 rifles, one MA-2, six MA-3s, one MA-4, one BA-100, along with related military equipment and ammunition.
Revolutionary forces have warned local civilians to exercise caution in their daily movements due to ongoing military operations and advised them to take necessary precautions against potential airstrikes by the military council. They have also extended an invitation to military council members to defect to the people’s side. This battle represents a significant victory demonstrating the strength of revolutionary forces in the Tanintharyi region and has dealt a blow to the military council’s control in the area.
