
In Mon State’s Bilin Township, artillery fire from the terrorist military forces struck A Lu East Village, resulting in the death of 15-year-old Naw Khin Nan Myaung (also known as Ma Noe Noe) and injuring another civilian. The incident occurred around 12:00 PM on July 23rd, following a clash between the terrorist military forces and revolutionary forces near the A Lu plywood factory. After the confrontation, the military indiscriminately fired artillery shells into the village.
According to local residents, the terrorist military began shelling civilian areas after the clash, resulting in 15-year-old Naw Khin Nan Myaung being struck by artillery shrapnel while inside her home, killing her instantly. Another villager was also wounded by shrapnel from the artillery strike. The military’s artillery barrage also caused damage to several houses in the village. Local sources reported that the military deliberately targeted civilian areas with heavy weapons after engaging with resistance forces.
