
Revolutionary forces successfully carried out a mine attack against military council troops who were conducting a foot patrol from Gyo village in Ngazun Township, Mandalay Region, resulting in 15 military council soldiers being killed. The attack took place around 8:50 AM on March 10th when revolutionary forces targeted approximately 50 military council troops who were advancing on foot from Gyo village near Ywa Tha village. The resistance forces used three Padamya mines and twelve forward-launched mortars in the attack. The operation was jointly conducted by Battalion 6 Division 3 of Myingyan District and the Special Task Force Ngazun.
Following the attack, the military council retrieved the bodies of the deceased soldiers using four vehicles – two Faw trucks from Gwekone village, one cattle truck from Myotha Industrial Zone, and one dump truck from Dinwon Company. A representative from the Special Task Force Ngazun confirmed that the military council forces did not return fire during the attack, and no weapons or ammunition were seized. The military council troops quickly collected their casualties and departed from the area.
The Special Task Force Ngazun representative also disclosed that revolutionary forces in the Ngazun area are in need of weapons and ammunition to continue their resistance efforts. They appealed for public support to help advance the revolutionary movement in the region. The local revolutionary forces remain committed to continuing their fight against the military council’s brutal actions and are determined to achieve victory in their revolution with the support of the public.
