
The Special Guerrilla Force has confirmed that 10 military council soldiers were killed and a speedboat was destroyed in an attack by revolutionary forces at the Bo Tan pier on Port Road in Kyat Sar Pyin ward, Dawei Township, Tanintharyi Region. The incident occurred around 9 AM on April 10th when revolutionary forces intercepted and attacked more than 150 military council troops who were departing on a speedboat for a fish release operation.
The attack was jointly carried out by the Special Guerrilla Force and Pinle Kyaw forces, resulting in intense fighting that left 10 military council soldiers dead and many others wounded. The speedboat carrying the military council troops was also severely damaged in the attack, according to battle reports. The forces indicated that this attack was part of the revolutionary movement’s response to the military council’s oppression of local civilians.
In the Dawei region, military council troops have been reportedly committing acts of violence and intimidation against local civilians while also illegally extracting natural resources from the area. Local sources indicate that the military council forces maintain control over fishing operations in the region. Revolutionary forces continue to monitor the military council troops’ movements and respond as necessary.
