MANDALAY DIVISION – Six more civilians were killed by junta airstrikes in Natogyi Township over four consecutive days, bringing the total number of civilian deaths to 11, reported the human rights officer from Natogyi Township People’s Administration Body.
Around 5 a.m. on December 5, the junta council bombed Aungpankone Village and the bomb landed on a house in the north east part of the village, killing Mr. Kyaw Thu Moe (48), Ms. Khin Aye Kyin (46) and their son Aung Pyae Hlyan (13).
“They were a family of 4. The 16 year old survived because she slept in the village,” said the human rights officer.
In addition, Letwal-Myinni Village was similarly bombed around 6 a.m. and a civilian was killed.
The human rights officer explained that the junta council targeted civilians and bombed the villages although there was no battle.
The monastery at Lonetaw Village was also bombed on December 4 afternoon and a civilian was killed on the spot while another who was injured passed away while receiving treatment.
The junta regime also bombed Kunoan Village on December 3 around 10 p.m., killing Ms. Khin Po (66) and Mr. Mahn Shine Khit (11).
The bombing of the Korean language school in Nabaemyit Village on December 2 evening killed two students the same village was bombed again on December 3, killing Mr. Mya Thon (45) and Mr. Wai Aung (37).
It is also reported that a large number of people were injured in the junta airstrikes from December 2 to 5.
