MANDALAY DIVISION – The atrocious junta army carried out airstrike attacks with manned powered parachutes on Thar Si Village in Taungtha Township, on the early morning of January 23, while the people were deeply sleeping, killing a local woman.
A local Revolutionary Comrade reported that Thar Si Village, located on the western side of Taungtha Town and about 14 miles from Taungtha Town by road, was bombed at around 1:45 a.m.
The bomb landed and exploded on a residential house, and Ms. Zin in her 70’s was killed.
A 70-year-old woman named Ms. Zin was killed in the attack when a bomb landed on her house. The junta army had frequently carried out airstrike attacks with powered parachutes in the villages of Taungtha Township in recent days.
“The main purpose of the attacks is to reduce costs for them and to intimidate the public,” said a Revolutionary Comrade in Taungtha Township.
Local based Revolutionary Forces believe that the manned powered parachutes came from a pilot training school in Meiktila, about 50 miles from Taungtha.
The attacks were mostly carried out at night, before there was dim light.
The locals of some villages in Taungtha had been forced to flee as the houses in Taungtha were being bombed by the junta army, while they were sleeping.
