BAGO DIVISION – The Karen National Union (KNU) stated that eight terrorist junta soldiers were killed and weapons and ammunition were seized during the capture of the junta council’s Khutaysoe Camp that has been stationed for nearly 50 years at Muthel, Leldo Township, Nyaunglebin District.
KNU Brigade 3 and allied revolutionary forces attacked the camp on December 31 and successfully captured it on January 5.
It is said that eight junta soldiers were killed during the battle for the camp and several escaped.
In addition, KNU stated that multiple weapons and ammunition including a 81mm mortar were confiscated from the camp.
