BAGO DIVISION- In Oakpho Township, due to the news that the PDF forces will enter and seize the Ayemyatharyar town, the junta army has planted a large number of landmines in Bago Yoma (Mountain range), making it difficult for the people to travel, reported the locals.
In January, there were reports that the PDF forces would enter the Ayemyatharyar town and the terrorist military council troops had planted a large number of landmines with military vehicles at the Bago Yoma area.
It is reported that the locals entering the Bago mountain range for food are having difficulty since landmines have been planted by junta troops in many places where the PDF forces would possibly enter.
“The Junta army is laying landmines near the Bago Yoma, in the vicinity of Ayemyatharyar, since they anticipated PDFs attack. They are setting mines with military vehicles. It is difficult for the locals who go into mountain ranges for a living as they don’t know where the landmines were planted,” said a resident.
In addition, a group of about 60 Pyu Saw Htee members led by Mr. Wanna claim that they will fight against the PDF forces, but their families are told to be prepared in advance for evacuation, storing and keeping important belongings and paper documents, etc. with them.
