SHAN STATE – Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) reported that the fights were ongoing in Nawnghkio, Kyaukme and Mongmit Townships, and 11 guns were seized during the capture of military outposts and remaining camps.
There were skirmishes between TNLA and the junta Light Infantry Battalion – 348 in Mongmit Town, on July 29, and TNLA seized a junta outpost.
In addition, TNLA continued its offensive attack on junta Mongmit Byuhar Kone (strategic outpost), at around 5:30 p.m., on July 29, and a battle occurred against Infantry Battalion – 348 under Military Operations Command (MOC) 21.
It was reported that junta Light Infantry Battalion – 502 fired 30 rounds of howitzers at Man Aung Monastery in Kyaukme Township, from 11:00 a.m., to 12:00 p.m., on July 29.
TNLA reportedly carried out offensive attacks on Lwei Khun Taung and Tower Taing bases, the stations of junta Light Infantry Battalion – 501 and 502 under Military Operations Command (MOC) 1 and the encounters broke out at around 5:30 p.m. During the clearing of the remaining military bases, TNLA confiscated 11 guns of the terrorist junta forces.
Fighting also took place near Yephyu Monastery in Nawnghkio Township because the terrorist junta forces from the monastery carried out offensive attacks on the TNLA forces. The TNLA said that they had attacked and acquired Nawnghkio Township.
