YANGON DIVISION – An official from The Light of Union Urban Guerrilla Force advised the people to avoid going near the administration office of Ward 47 in North Dagon Township as a detonation attack on the office failed due to technical errors.
The urban guerrilla force reportedly set up explosives in the administration office on the evening of January 22.
The mines were then detonated on January 23 when the administration team including the junta administration officer arrived at the office but didn’t go off due to technical faults.
As such, civilians are advised to avoid going to the administration office to file guest registration or apply for guarantee certificates for several days so that they can avoid the danger of the remnant explosives.
“The mine detonated did not go off due to technical errors. That’s why we are warning the residents of the ward to stay away from the administration office,” said the official from The Light of Union Urban Guerrilla Force.
The official continued that they carried out the attack as the administration officer and team have been trying to please the junta council while forcibly conscripting, oppressing, bullying and extorting the residents of the ward, and warned the junta administration pillars including the administration team that the urban guerrilla forces will target them with even more intense operations if they continue to commit atrocities on civilians following the junta council’s orders.
