MYANMAR – CDM groups jointly requested for the swift investigation and arrest of the perpetrators behind the murder of Mr. Areindanmar, a CDM employee and the secretary for Kawlin Township Natural Resources Management Team in Sagaing Dvision.
The request was made on behalf of the Sagaing Division Federal Unit CDM Public Servant Council and other CDM Public Servant Teams and the statement demanded justice for Mr. Areindanmar who was murdered on January 2 in western Kawlin which falls under the administration of the National Unity Government (NUG) and also mentioned disappointment for failing to find the perpetrators behind the murder of CDM education staff Mr. Win Htay, his wife and their three month old child that took place at their home in Tapone Village, Kani Township on November 4, 2024.
“We intend for this to become a force that will push forward the investigation so that justice can be served for CDM Sayar Areindanmar who was at the forefront of the revolution and his family,” said an official from Sagaing Division Federal Unit CDM Public Servant Council.
In addition, the CDM teams also announced that they will reveal and protest the actions of those using their weapons to oppress the civilians during a time of weakened regional security and rule of law, treating them the same as the terrorist junta council.
It is said that the CDM public servants will work together with the oppressed people to fight against the potential rise of warlords drunk on weapons and power during the revolution against the terrorist junta council.
In addition, the CDM public servants from respective regions are also urged to join in efforts to implement rule of law, security, administration and public service sectors and to cooperate with the revolutionary forces and the public to guide the people’s Spring Revolution from straying from the initial goals.
The Mandalay Region Civil Disobedience Team, Mon State CDM Public Servants Council, Sagaing Federal Unit CDM Public Servants Council, Interim Period Myanma Railways Council and the Basic Education Board Teams Council jointly urged the National Unity Government to find the perpetrators.
