MYANMAR – The Acting President of National Unity Government said that the military junta is about to lose more Regional Military Commands, after losing North Eastern Command and Western Command.
It was stated in the Christmas message of Acting President Duwa Lashi La of the National Unity Government to the people on December 24.
The military junta has lost at least 90 cities and towns across Myanmar, and these cities and towns have been liberated from the military junta, and the Acting President said that Regional Military Commands are about to forfeit soon.
“This time, the revolutionary belief that the military dictatorship must be completely abolished, and the joint struggle of all forces has resulted in the fall of the North Eastern Command and Western Command, the biggest loss for the terrorist military junta in history. The junta is now in a situation in which more Regional Military Commands will fall. At least 90 cities and towns across the country have been liberated from the control of the military junta,” said Acting President.
He added that the military junta suffered defeat and collapse in 2024, and that the people’s perseverance and efforts throughout the nearly four-year revolution against the military dictatorship were heartening.
The junta council lost the North Eastern Command (NEC) in August 2024 and the Western Command (WC) in December.
