RAKHINE STATE – It was reported that a total of 13 people were killed and 36 were injured by terrorist junta forces in Ann Township, according to the Humanitarian and Development Coordination Office (HDCO) of Arakan Army, on December 20.
The HDCO said it had collected war crimes committed by the military junta in Ann Township from November 11, 2023, to December 5, 2024.
The families of the deceased and the injured are in need of humanitarian assistance.
The AA had captured and controlled Ann Town and junta’s Western Command in Ann Township, in the afternoon of December 20.
The HDCO called and requested for urgent food and health care for the displaced people of Ann Township who were forced to flee by the military junta.
Tens of thousands of local people have been displaced since the fighting in Ann Township in April, and all of them are still living in makeshift shelters.
“Currently, displaced people are in urgent need of food, health care, shelter, kitchen utensils such as pots and pans, personal hygiene products, feminine hygiene products, nutrition for mothers and children, mosquito nets, and warm clothes as it is winter,” HDCO said.
Some displaced people are living in temporary shelters in vacant lots without permanent shelters, and they are in urgent need of shelter.
