MAGWAY DIVISION- In Thayet District, a sergeant and a soldier from the military affairs security force brought two guns and defected to PDF, said an official from the No. 1 military region, Thayet district, Battalion 4.
On December 23, two officers from the Military Affairs Security Force (Napakha) defected to the People’s Defense Army. It is reported that the PDF soldiers from Battalion-4, Thayet District had to evacuate the defectors since they reached out successively to the PDF.
Two soldiers of the military council brought an MA-3 gun, a pistol, an Enaga bomb, and ammunition.
At the moment, the defected junta soldiers were provided health care and taken care of properly. Appropriate rewards for defection along with weapons and ammunition will soon be granted.
“We welcome the military personnel who do not want to continue serving under the terrorist leader Min Aung Hlaing, who is losing the war across the country and will soon be prosecuted in ICC,” announced the official of Thayet District Battalion-4, Military Region (1).
