MAGWAY DIVISION- It is reported that an elderly man, Mr. Pho Pyu Maung was killed when three rounds of howitzers were fired from the Gantgaw Township artillery batallion toward Min village.
On December 9, at around 11:00 a.m., the No. 371 Artillery Battalion reportedly fired three howitzer rounds into Min Village Two of the three missiles hit Min Village, killing the fifty years old Mr. Pho Pyu Maung, and injuring some other locals.
“The distance between Min village and the Pima Artillery Batallion is only about 8 miles. Firing three howitzer missiles toward Min village is a deliberate attack on civilians,” said a local defense force member.
Currently, the people of Min village are fleeing in fear of another heavy weapon attack, and the details about the injured people are not yet known, he said.
Min Village police station in Gantgaw Town was occupied by the revolutionary forces on November 3, 2023, capturing 11 prisoners of war and 17 guns. Until today, the village is still controlled by the revolutionary forces.
