KARENNI STATE – Local sources said that a junta council bombed a refugee camp in the eastern part of Loikaw City in Karenni State, killing a female refugee and injuring four others.
Today (December 31st) at around 4:00 p.m., the junta council dropped bombs three times on the “Hsi” war evacuation camp.
“My prayer is not fulfilled. A mother of a child was hit together with five people who were taking shelter in the Hsin camp in the east of Loikaw where the planes have attacked. The child of the deceased mother’s child (over 1 year old) was also hit. A 16-year-old female student was also injured,” said a person helping the war refugee based in Loikaw.
He also informed that the junta council deliberately attacked the war evacuation camp.
Last December 27th, the Junta Council bombed Peking village in the western part of Pekhon, bordering Shan and Karenni states, and three people were injured.
The Progressive Karenni People’s Force has announced that 532 civilians have been killed in Karenni State, including the towns of Pekhon and Moebye, since the military coup until the end of November 2024, and 170 have died while fleeing the war.
The junta council has been carrying out airstrikes which have superior power over the places all over the country, especially everyday on the cities occupied by the revolutionary forces and the places where they are fighting, and there have been many casualties.
