KARENNI STATE – The Karenni Nationalities Defence Force (KNDF) announced that a forcibly conscripted junta soldier from Infantry Battalion (IB) 261 in Loikaw entered the legal fold under KNDF.
The soldier from Loikaw based IB 261 reportedly fled with his weapon during a frontline operation on January 20 and is said to have been forcibly conscripted by the junta council.
He also reportedly brought one MA-11 gun, three cartridges, two hand grenades and several ammunition.
KNDF urged the junta soldiers to build a dignified life by surrendering their weapons and joining the people instead of getting eliminated carrying out acts of terror and oppression that only benefit the junta dictators.
