MANDALAY DIVISION – Comrade Byatta of the Popa Guerrilla Force said that 2 soldiers of the junta council were arrested when they attacked the terrorist junta council’s communication station on Mont Popa in Kyaukpadaung township, Mandalay Division but they fought back and tried to escape and ran away. So they were shot and killed and 2 fire arms were seized.
It is reported that the revolutionary forces attacked 3 junta council soldiers who were on duty at the communication station on Mount Poppa in Kyaukpadaung township on December 27th, at about 6:00 p.m.
During the attack, 2 soldiers of the junta council, including a warrant officer from the terrorist army were captured and 1 escaped. After conducting an examination of the 2 soldiers according to the laws for prisoner of war, they resisted and ran away on the road while they were brought to the area of the revolutionary forces, so they were shot to recapture but both died.
One MA-11 rifle, an UZI and some ammunition were seized from the 2 soldiers of the junta council who were captured during that battle.
“We urge the people to stay away from the war dogs as the military condition will intense. And we want people to participate in the campaign to accelerate the war,” said Comrade Byatta from Popa Production & Guerrilla Force – PPGF (Popa Guerrilla Force).
The attack was carried out jointly by the Popa Guerrilla Force (PGF) and the allied brotherhood Myingyang Black Tiger (MBT).
