SHAN STATE – Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) reported that the atrocious junta council’s fighter jet carried out two aerial bombings on Kyaukme General Hospital in Kyaukme Town of Shan (North) State, killing a female health personnel, who joined Civil Disobedience Movement, and a patient, and injuring over 20 people.
On January 25, at 1:25 p.m., and 1:29 p.m., the junta fighter jet attacked twice and dropped four bombs on Kyaukme General Hospital in Kyaukme Town of Shan (North) State. It was reported that the bombing killed a CDM health personnel who was treating the patients, and a patient, and injured over 20 civilians, including other health personnel and CDM staff. In addition, Kyaukme General Hospital was also reported to have been devastated.
Kyaukme General Hospital is a 150-bed hospital that has been providing health services and medical treatment since the Palaung State Liberation Front (PSLF) / TNLA seized control of Kyaukme Town. The entire Kyaukme General Hospital was reportedly devastated by the junta aerial bombing.
On January 22 as well, the junta council deliberately bombed civilians in Nawnghkio Township, killing nine people and injuring three others, and damaging houses.
The TNLA warned that the junta troops were deliberately bombing civilians despite the absence of battles, and urged the people to be vigilant and to protect themselves from airstrikes and to follow airstrike prevention measures.
