KARENNI STATE – A warrant officer of Hpruso based junta’s light battalion (531) who has been in service for more than 40 years brought along the weapons and defected from the junta army. He sought refuge in Karenni Nationalities Defence Force (KNDF) on January 27 and came into legal fold.
It was announced that the warrant officer who defected has over 40 years of military service and no longer wants to continue serving under the junta regime with unjust actions. He defected to the KNDF with a MA-3 rifle with accessories and he has been well taken care of.
The KNDF urges the remaining junta council members to defect the fascist regime in time and come into legal fold, instead of standing for the interests of a group of military dictators.
