SHAN STATE – The junta army and The Pa-O National Army (PNA) reportedly attacked Yae Pu Village in Nyaungshwe Township, with 22 artillery shells, according to an official of Inle Human Rights Organization.
On the afternoon of January 29, the military junta and their subordinate PNA attacked Yae Pu village in Nyaungshwe Township with artillery shells from Nan Taung and Moe Oo on the west bank of Pekon Township.
During the attack, 19 artillery shells exploded in front of Yae Pu Village and three artillery shells exploded inside Yae Pu Village.
Although no civilians were injured in the artillery attacks by the military, a civilian’s house was destroyed. The terrorist army intentionally fired on civilian areas with artillery shells without any reason.
“There was no harm. Since the military junta had seized power, we have seen inhumane and evil acts being carried out against civilians everywhere,” said the official of Inle Human Rights Organization.
