IRRAWADDY DIVISION – According to the community of Thabaung township police station said that Police Captain Win Naing Oo, who went to supply food to Thitphyu Junta Army Camp in Thabaung township, Irrawaddy division was shot by a sniper and killed on the spot.
On January 28th, the head of the city police station was killed by a sniper while he was going to deliver food to the junta council’s camp in the village group of Thitphyu village, Thabaung township. Some AA troops arrived in Thabaung township and he was killed by AA. According to the request of the Police Colonel Tin Zaw Tun, Irrawaddy Divisional Police Commander, to deliver food to the army camp in Thitphyu village, Thabaung township. It is reported that the city police chief, Police Captain Win Naing Oo, was shot and killed while delivering food.
“The divisional commander fawn to the army and asked the station commander of Thabaung to send food for the army. If he gets scot, he lets what so ever to do. He sent the camp commander like Thabaung station commander, who cannot earn money for him. The Pathein area police station, which raised money for him, was given special pleading. Police Captain Win Naing Oo was shot on the way while delivering rations to Thitphyu Army Camp. Win Naing Oo’s wife tried to stop him from going when she was from Thabaung area. He was asked not to go because they were worried. While going to ask not to go but he also got scared when the divisional police commander forced him to go,” said a police source. Now, Police Captain Win Naing Oo’s body was brought in his native Letpan Gwin village, Thabaung township.
Recently, some of the revolutionary forces led by AA have arrived in Thabaung township, Irrawaddy division. The place where Police Captain Win Naing Oo was shot was the place where the AA and the Military Council were fighting.
